Onlookers watched in disbelief as a rescue operation was launched - to free a man stuck in the loo!

Patrolling police officers and the council worked together to release the man who became locked in the toilets near the Park Club, in Ashford town centre.

One witness said the man, believed to be in his 50s, was eventually freed by someone from the council, who arrived to unlock the chains.
