Man hit by car in Hunter Road, Willesborough, near Ashford

A man was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car this morning.

Emergency services were called to Hunter Road, Willesborough, near Ashford at 10.45am.

The pedestrian was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

The driver of the vehicle was not at the scene when officers attended but has since been spoken to.

Enquiries to determine the full circumstances are ongoing.

The man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Stagecoach reported delays due to the incident this morning.

The bus company tweeted: “Due to an incident on Hunter Road, C Line Services will be unable to operate between Osbourne road and Hythe road.

“Services will operate via Albemarie Road in stead until the incident has cleared.”
