A man has been taken to hospital after a crash closed a busy route.

Stone Street, the B2068, was shut in both directions at Hempstead Hill, Monks Horton, near the junction with Farthing Common.

The two-car crash happened just after 9.45am.

Police were on scene as recovery work took place, but the route has now reopened.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called to a report of a two-vehicle collision at 9.50am.

“Officers attended Hempton Hill, and assisted with vehicle recovery while a man was taken to a local hospital.”
