The image of a man wanted by police in relation to an assault on a young girl in Ashford has been released by officers.

It relates to an incident that happened on Friday, May 18, in an alleyway behind homes in Kent Avenue.

The 13-year-old had been walking to school with two friends at about 8.10am when she became separated and walked alone down an alleyway.

She told police that she saw a man walking towards her so moved to one side of the path; he moved across and grabbed her forcibly by the arm.

He is described as 30, 5ft 8ins, unshaven, wearing a dark blue hooded top with white logo and black tracksuit bottoms.
