Two men charged in connection with a cash machine raid which saw the bomb squad called have appeared in court.
It follows the theft of money from an ATM at the Co-op in Faversham Road, Kennington, Ashford, during the early hours of Thursday.
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate charged Victor Coseru, 27, of Totesti, Romania, and Gica-fanica Radu, 30, of no fixed address, with burglary after they were arrested on Thursday.
The pair, who appeared at Canterbury Magistrates Court yesterday, have been remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, March 11.
Four other men who were arrested in Ashford the same day have been released pending further inquiries.
It is believed explosives were used to get to the machine and the bomb disposal team was called in to make the scene safe.
The store had been closed because of the damage caused during the raid, but re-opened at 7am yesterday. The shutters remain down, but trading hours are back to normal from 7am to 10pm every day.
