Men charged over cash machine raids

An Ashford man is one of four who appeared in court in connection with a series of cash machine raids.

Tony Hart, 22, of Bryony Drive, Kingsnorth, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.

Hart and his co-defendants appeared yesterday at Dartford Magistrates Court, were remanded in custody and will be brought before Maidstone Crown Court on February 16.

The charges stem from a number of thefts and attempted thefts of cash machines between last June and October in Dartford, Gravesend, Gillingham, Sheerness, Rainham, Larkfield and Ditton.

The other three men, on the same charges, are connected to the Gravesend area.
