The sister of an Ashford man who had been missing for more than two weeks has announced to worried friends that he has been found "safe and well".
Jon Young, 25, last contacted his family on Thursday, February 7. At the time of his disappearance he was staying in London with friends.
He was officially reported missing to the police by his family on Wednesday, February 13.
However, his sister, Tina Young, 23, posted yesterday (Sunday) on Facebook that Jon had been found safe, but would not be revealing where he had been.
The post read: “JON IS SAFE AND WELL! I have spoken to Jon, he is safe and well and the search is off!
“He is not home, I don’t think he will be for a while, but the main thing is he is fine.
“Please do not ask any questions, as there will be no answers.”
During the period that Jon was missing, his friends and family made several pleas for him to get in touch through social networking sites, such as Twitter and Facebook.
A relieved Miss Young added: “We would really like to thank everyone who shared his information and picture. You really do find out who your friends are at times like this. Even strangers were sharing his information.”
