Neil Cugley admitted to "mixed emotions" after Folkestone missed the chance to go joint-top of Ryman League, Division 1 South.
Invicta allowed a 2-0 lead to slip to draw 2-2 at Burgess Hill – who had two men sent-off at 2-1 down – on Saturday as Dulwich Hamlet were the only team in the top five to win.
The point moved Folkestone up to third but manager Cugley (pictured) said: "We got away with it because the other results were kind to us but, of course, you have mixed emotions when you see the other teams have dropped points.
"I was angry and disappointed – mainly because we have not done ourselves justice.
On Saturday Invicta host Godalming, who sit in eighth place, 14 points behind Invicta but still chasing the play-offs with three games in hand.
The Gs beat Folkestone 2-1 in Surrey back in September and Cugley said: "It should be a good game. They like to play football and so do we. They are a good side with good players.
"I am shocked they are not right up there with us but that’s where they are trying to get and they have games in hand."
Cugley revealed Roland Edge could return from an ankle problem and said: "We hope he’s fit.
"We could have done with his knowledge in the last 10 minutes on Saturday."
