A building firm has produced a saucy calendar to show off its handiwork and raise cash for an animal sanctuary.
MP Builders (Kent), which specialises in extensions, conversions and renovations, recruited six local women to adorn their forthcoming 2010 calendar.
Company director Michael Broadbent of the Tenterden-based firm said: “It started off with us wanting to photograph the work we had done with satisfied customers standing there.
“But it didn’t really work, so we moved on.”
That meant advertising in the area for models, with six – all from Kent – chosen to represent two months each.
London-based company Helen Al-Najir Photography took the photos. While some months show models in their underwear, others have been artistically enhanced.
Mr Broadbent added: “For example, there is one in a bathroom, with a black silhouette of a girl against the light.
“While recognising beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we have tried to use very attractive ladies posing artistically or altered artistically on the computer.
“We did not resort to using ugly builders or naked customers posing self-consciously and think it is good fun done in the name of charity.”
While the calendars will be sold for about £10, any profits will go to a donkey sanctuary charity in Devon.
