A mother and daughter have been ordered to pay back more than £4,500 after being sentenced for drug dealing.
Karen and Natasha Douglas, both of Lower Denmark Road in Ashford were sentenced after officers found 77g of cannabis and 13g of amphetamine when they searched the property in December 2016.
Natasha, 20, was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years and her mother Karen, 46 was sentenced to 36 months, suspended for two years, after they pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply.
Officers also found digital scales, two cannabis grinders and several mobile phones.
At Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, May 25, Karen was ordered to pay back £3,989.93 and Natasha ordered to pay back £560.05.
Detective Inspector Annie Clayton, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said: "The work of officers doesn’t stop following the conclusion of a criminal case.
"The women were ordered to pay back this money as part of the Proceeds of Crime Act which ensures that they do not financially benefit from their ill-gotten gains.
"We will continue to use legislation to pursue offenders and seize any cash or assets that we can prove they have obtained through criminal behaviour."
