Firefighters were called out to a car blaze on the M20 motorway near Ashford this morning.

The vehicle burst into flames on the London-bound carriageway of the M20, between junctions 9 and 10, at about 7.30am today (Thursday).

The driver, who was unhurt, was able to move the vehicle on to the hard shoulder.

Two fire engines from Ashford were called out and crews were at the scene extinguishing the fire for half an hour.
