Witnesses are being sought to a robbery in which a 27-year-old man was attacked and forced to hand over cash and an MP3 player to three men.
According to police, the victim was walking along the path connecting Lower Queens Road with Heathfield Road, known as Chicken Alley, on Monday (9) at about 11pm, when three men walked past him before turning round and demanded cash and his MP3 player.
The offenders then demanded his cash card and pin number and threatened him with a knife, before punching him in the face.
The man broke away from the offenders and ran to Lower Queens Road.
At some point he lost his jacket which was later found discarded on the pavement in Heathfield Road.
The man with the knife is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, medium build, aged 24-25 years old, with short dark blond hair and wearing a grey hooded top.
The second is white, 15 years old, small slight build, wearing a grey hooded top, with the hood up and a scarf over his face.
The third is described as a white teenager, medium build, with short ginger hair and wearing a grey hooded top.
The victim sustained a swollen lip during the incident, which did not require hospital treatment.
