There were delays of up to 40 minutes on a busy motorway following a three-vehicle crash.

The collision happened just after 10am on the M20 London-bound between junction nine in Ashford and eight for Leeds Castle in Maidstone.

National Highways said motorists can expect 40 minutes of delays, but these have now cleared.

Traffic information site Inrix reported one lane closure, and added that three vehicles were involved.

The incident happened within the Operation Brock speed restrictions.

Police have been contacted for more information.
