A popular musician who died following a short illness will be remembered at a public memorial service this weekend.
Family and friends of Beverley Anthony, 66, will gather in Wye on Saturday.
The Willesborough resident, who was a well-known singer, guitarist and songwriter, died at the William Harvey Hospital in April.
The mother-of-two will be remembered at the St Gregory and St Martin Church.
Her daughter, JR, said: "She was devoted to her music for more than 50 years, and was extremely professional and dedicated.
"She sung solos at Wye church and Ashford Choral Society under the directorship of choir director, Mark Deller, and was a regular at many places including Leas Cliff Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.
"It was during her time in the choir at the St Leonard's Church that she met her future husband who was an altar server there. They married at the church in 1975."
Mrs Anthony was born in Stamford, Lincolnshire in 1952.
After moving to Kent, she became part of an all-girl guitar group - called Pendulum - in the 1970s.
She formed the group with friends Barbara Hack and Sue Mitchell and released a record, touring venues including the Folkestone and Hythe folk club.
Away from music, she also had a keen interest in history.
Her husband said: "Beverley had so many interests.
"She had a degree in archaeology from University of Kent and was going to be studying for an MA in osteo-archaelogy at University College London.
"She worked part-time for the Canterbury Archaeological Trust as, for Beverley, history stopped at the medieval era."
"Beverley will be missed both as a person in her own right, and as a highly talented and competent musician."
Mrs Anthony's family thanked Earl and Co. Funeral Directors in Albemarle Road, Willesborough, for "going the extra mile".
The memorial service will take place at 11.30am on Saturday at the St Gregory and St Martin Church in Wye. All are welcome.
