A mother-of-two who moved to Kent from Ukraine has opened her own beauty business.
Anastasia Kutyshenko moved to Ashford with her aunt and young children, aged seven and four, a year ago after war broke out in her home country.
The 25-year-old used to run a cosmetic business in the North of Ukraine and decided to start it back up by opening a shop in Park Mall shopping centre.
All Brands has filled the empty unit which used to be home to a hair extension specialist business opposite Ashford’s now empty Wilko supermarket.
Ms Kutyshenko said: “I sell cosmetics and perfumes from different brands like Avon, Farmasi and Oriflame.
“People can come here to buy or they can order and I can help them register.
“Ashford is a beautiful town, I'm happy to be here.”
Ms Kutyshenko chose the location in Park Mall as the unit was “the perfect size” and was available for a good price.
She will work closely with her aunt Iryna Zbarazhska 48, who is a qualified nail technician.
While she misses home, the business owner says she is grateful for the support she has received since moving to Kent.
“It is not a good situation in Ukraine and I’m really thankful that English people have supported me and my family,” she explained.
“I miss home and my family, but it is safe where they live now.”
All Brands opened its doors for the first time earlier this month.
It will be open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
