A mum was left "shaking like a leaf" after a metal sheet fell off a 4x4 and smashed into her windscreen.
Laura Giles was driving home from work when the unsecured object came hurtling towards her blue Vauxhall Corsa on the A28 in Ashford.
The care assistant escaped injury but was left fuming as the 4x4 driver failed to stop to check on her.
"I was driving along by Wyvern School when a black Mitsubishi Warrior - or something similar - came in the other direction and something just fell off the back," she said.
"It came flying towards me and I didn't have enough time to react.
"The object hit my car and the driver of the Warrior just carried on without stopping to check if I was OK."
The incident happened at 6.20pm on Wednesday.
Miss Giles, who lives in Willesborough, added: "It's lucky I had my glasses on as I could have got glass in my eye.
"I was shaking like a leaf, I was in so much shock.
"I was very shaken afterwards but thankfully a few people stopped to make sure I was alright."
A police spokesman confirmed officers are aware of the incident.
She said: "The woman was not injured and inquiries are ongoing to establish further information."
