Neil Cugley says his Folkestone side are reaching form and fitness at the right time, with a Ryman League Division 1 South promotion play-off campaign on the horizon.
Invicta need a point from their last league game at Chipstead on Saturday to secure fourth place, a week before the rest of the division.
Manager Cugley said: "Sometimes it is a good thing to need something from the game rather than know the result doesn’t matter.
"The players will be up for it, that’s for sure. After the good run we’ve been on we don’t want to let it slip now. Then we can have a rest the following week before the play-offs."
Invicta have hit form at the right time, winning five straight games and conceding just two goals after a run of two wins in 11 – including five defeats – before the end of March.
Cugley said: "Easter was a difficult time but we did really well to come through it.
"We have (keeper) Jack Delo back (from suspension) this weekend and we should have the strongest available squad from now on. It’s as strong as we’ve been all season."
James Everitt and Stuart King had claimed just one goal apiece of the 12 Invicta had scored in their previous eight games, and Cugley added: "It was important for the forwards to get back to scoring goals."
