Folkestone boss Neil Cugley has started preparing for the new campaign after re-signing many of last season’s crop.
Six players have agreed to stay for another season to join three already on terms to give Cugley, pictured, a sound base to work on.
Cugley said: "We want some new players to come in as well but it’s important we tidy things up ourselves.
"We are lucky because we have a good team spirit and it’s important so many want to stay. We have the nucleus of a team now."
Josh Burchell, Liam Dickson and Josh Vincent were the three already on contract and they are joined by James Everitt, Frankie Chappell, Jack Delo, Darren Smith, Roland Edge and Micheal Everitt in agreeing to stay.
"We have kicked on a bit this week and we’ve tried to get some of last season’s squad signed up," said Cugley.
Among those who Cugley still needs to speak with is striker Jimmy Dryden. "I’ll talk with him and see what he wants to do," Cugley said.
The Invicta boss has also invited striker Paul Jones back for pre-season after the last campaign was ruined by a groin injury.
"We are hoping he can show his fitness and he would be a good addition," Cugley added.
