Neil Cugley has shown his hand more than a week before the Ryman League, Division 1 South season kicks off.
Barring injuries, the side Cugley picked for a 4-1 friendly win over Ashford United on Tuesday will be the XI who start the first league game at home to Worthing on Saturday week (August 18).
That means Jack Delo in goal, a back four of Lee Gledhill, Liam Dickson, Liam Friend and Frankie Chappell, midfielders James Everitt, Josh Burchell, Roland Edge and Darren Marsden, with Stuart King and Paul Jones paired up front.
Marsden (pictured) scored a hat-trick against Ashford, including two penalties, while King completed an easy win.
Invicta manager Cugley said: "Darren Smith is away for the first game and Josh Vincent is out injured so the side doesn’t take a lot of working out.
"Sometimes competition for places is a good thing but most of the lads played every game two years ago when we had a squad of 11 and won promotion, so there’s no question of them falling into a comfort zone.
"They’re comfortable in a good way because they are all happy being at the club and want to do well.
"They’re motivated and give their all every week which is all I can ask as a manager. We’re obviously doing something right here."
Invicta complete their pre-season with a home game against Blue Square Bet South side Tonbridge Angels on Saturday (3pm).
