Folkestone Invicta renew old rivalries on Boxing Day when Hythe Town arrive at Cheriton Road for an eagerly awaited Shepway derby.
With both sides in fine form in Ryman League Division 1 South, Invicta are expecting their biggest gate of the season as they look to continue their recent good form.
Back-to-back wins over Chipstead, Maidstone and Whitehawk have fired Folkestone right back into the promotion mix.
Manager Neil Cugley (pictured) is delighted with his side’s upturn in form and hopes his players will maintain the same standard against their resurgent neighbours.
He said: "Any game that brings people to the ground is a good game to have and I’m sure we’ll have the biggest crowd of the season.
"That’s why you play and that’s why you’re a manager, to play in front of bigger crowds and I hope the players continue how they’ve been playing.
"Hythe are a good side and they were one of my tips to be in the play-offs. They can play it down but there’s no pressure on my players anyway. Our form’s good, we both won big games at the weekend, so it makes it better for people to come along."
With Micheal Everitt available after suspension and Simon Austin nearing full fitness, Cugley has plenty to smile about, including a welcome selection dilemma.
