Folkestone Invicta boss Neil Cugley completed a remarkable turnaround by leading his side into the Ryman League, Premier Division on Saturday.
Invicta secured promotion from Division 1 South, with a 2-1 win over Godalming at the Buzzlines Stadium on Saturday, to end a season during which they were denied the title after entering a CVA for off-field financial matters and received a 10-point penalty.
Cugley (pictured) said: "When we went into this season last July, we thought we might be playing in the Kent County League or the Kent League, we never thought we might be in with a chance of going up and playing in the Premier Division. It’s unbelievable.
"We didn’t play that well against Godalming but we did enough and that was all that mattered."
He added: "We’ve got to strengthen for next season but we have signed seven of the younger lads on already and I’ll be speaking to the rest.
"Towards the end of the season we were just using the same players time and again – we were just so low on numbers."
