Folkestone Invicta boss Neil Cugley believes his side should be top of Ryman League, Division 1 South on the back of a run of 10 straight wins.
The Invicta boss admitted to frustration after Folkestone were held to a goalless draw at Eastbourne Town on Saturday – their third straight stalemate after a run of seven consecutive victories.
The game was the first in 19 that Cugley’s side failed to score, thanks largely to the heroics of Kieron Thorp in goal for Eastbourne.
Cugley (pictured) said: "It was frustrating but there’s not much you can do.
"It is even more frustrating because we’ve had a few of these in a row now and they could easily have been wins.
"We had seven wins in a row and it should have been 10 and if you have 10 wins in a row you really are living the dream – we’d be top.
Merstham visit the Seasiders on Saturday and Cugley is urging his side to keep their unbeaten run going.
He said: "You can’t win every game but if we can keep the run going all the way to the end of the season, we’ll be in the play-offs at least."
Invicta are fourth, four points adrift of leaders Bognor Regis and five ahead of play-off-chasing Worthing in sixth.
Cugley is sweating on the fitness of Roland Edge (groin) before choosing his side.
Centre-back Liam Friend serves a one-game suspension and should Edge be fit, he would come in at left-back with Liam Dickson switching to central defence.
