Folkestone Invicta boss Neil Cugley is hoping to bring in three new faces to fill the void left by a trio of players facing suspension over the festive period.
Invicta went down 2-1 in a bad-tempered Ryman League Premier Division clash at Hendon on Saturday and will now lose Josh Vincent and Darren Smith to suspension after both received straight red cards.
The pair will miss games against Maidstone (December 27), Tonbridge (January 3) and Aveley (January 8).
Cugley said: "We’re going to miss them, and Robbie Kember’s going to miss a game after five bookings, so I have been on the phone."
Cugley revealed he had put a seven-day approach in for a player, was hoping to have a new face at training tonight (Thursday) and was hoping to persuade a newly-available player to join the club in time for Saturday’s game against Wealdstone – which Smith will miss through unavailability.
Invicta are in the Ryman League Premier Division drop-zone but a win over Wealdstone, who lie 14th, on Saturday would bring Invicta within five points of the Londoners.
