Folkestone are preparing for their second pre-season fixture of the summer, against Kent League side Lordswood on Saturday.
Boss Neil Cugley (pictured) will take a small squad to the Medway club for the friendly match as he looks to fine tune his Ryman League Premier Division side.
He said: "We’ve trained quite hard and we’re just ticking over and we’re just looking forward to Saturday.
"We haven’t played for a while but it’s a small squad and it’s just disappointing that we can’t have any home games because of the work on the pitch.
"That is coming along, though, and it looks like there will be no problems for it being ready for the start of the season."
Cugley will be without Rob Kember and Darren Smith, while a back injury looks set to rule out James Everitt.
"We’ll play some youngsters and it’s better for them to be playing in a good side anyway," said Cugley.
Invicta’s last game was a 2-1 win against Faversham on July 20 and he’s hoping for another good showing.
"Nobody likes to lose a game, even though we pretend it doesn’t matter in pre-season," said Cugley. "The team we are playing are a couple of divisions lower than us and hopefully we can put on a show and get a win."
