A LEADING restaurant chain has confirmed that it is planning to set up shop in Ashford.

Brewsters, owned by Whitbread, hopes to open a eating establishment on wasteland at the junction of Simone Weil Avenue and Maidstone Road.

A planning application is in the pipeline and bosses were granted a provisional licence to sell alcohol by magistrates in a court hearing in August.
