A new store offering luxury women's clothing is set to open at a shopping centre later this month.

Mint Velvet has announced it will be opening at Ashford's Designer Outlet.

The new clothing store - which already has shops in Tenterden and Tunbridge Wells - is set to move into an empty unit next to Watch Station.

It is scheduled to open on Friday, March 15.

A spokesman for the Designer Outlet said: "We can confirm that Mint Velvet will be opening in the current part of the centre this month.

"We’re looking forward to sharing more information about this new opening soon."

Fifty new brands are set to open in the autumn as part of the £90m expansion of the popular shopping centre.

The 100,000 sq ft expansion of the McArthurGlen outlet also includes a new children's playground and food piazza.

McDonald's has already confirmed it will not be returning to the centre - despite plans to build a standalone restaurant for the fast food giant.
