A cat who came back from the dead has found himself under the spotlight of the international media.
Karen Jones, 48, and her family were heartbroken when they found what they thought was the body of their two-year-old pet cat Norman by Beecholme (CORR) Drive in Kennington.
However, after burying the black cat, which was similar to Norman in every way, they were stunned when he turned up for breakfast the next morning.
Our exclusive story last week was later picked up by national newspapers, including The Sun, the Metro and the Daily Mail, and Norman was also featured on television at the weekend.
Bizarrely, the tale even featured across the pond on the website of American blogger and TV personality Perez Hilton.
However, despite all the media attention, Mrs Jones and her brother Paul May, 45, have yet to track down the owners of the dead cat buried at their home in Mardol Road.
Sainsbury’s store trainer Mrs Jones said: “Despite knocking on neighbours’ doors there has been no contact from the dead cat’s owners, sadly.
“The story has received a lot of media attention. His publicity agent has even managed to get him featured in a national magazine.
“Norman is doing well and remains totally unaware of the media fuss.”
