Object smashes woman's car windscreen

A WOMAN escaped uninjured when a piece of stone or concrete cracked the windscreen of her Ford Fiesta while she was driving along Crowbridge Road, Ashford.

Police say the woman is unsure if the object was thrown from a railway footbridge.

Damage estimated at £100 was caused in the incident which happened at about 5.15pm last Friday.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously on the footbridge.
