A revamped leisure centre will open its doors for an open weekend where people can try all the facilities for just £1.
The Stour Centre in Ashford reopened in June after a £7.5 million refurbishment which has seen the addition of a range of features, including new climbing walls and a large soft play area.
Centre operator Freedom Leisure and Ashford Borough Council (ABC) have announced that on the weekend of August 14-15 everyone will pay a flat fee to try out all the leisure pursuits on offer.
Stour Centre general manager Daniel Lynn said: "Since we opened the feedback on the new centre and its facilities has been overwhelmingly positive. We are delighted to see customers returning to the Stour as well as welcoming all our new customers.
"We want everyone to make a date in their diaries and bring their friends and family to our community open weekend so they can see for themselves what the whole of Ashford is talking about."
As the open weekend is billed by the council as a 'come and try', no booking is required in advance. However session times may be shortened to ensure as many people as possible can enjoy the different activities on offer.
Cllr Matthew Forest, portfolio holder for leisure at Ashford Borough Council, said: "The community open weekend is an excellent opportunity to see the Stour Centre's improved new-look facilities and sample some of the exciting activities on offer.
"Whether you're a casual gym-goer or a future Olympic champion, there will be something to appeal to all ages and abilities."
