Out-of-control dog ‘sunk its teeth into woman five times’ in Wye, near Ashford

An out-of-control dog reportedly sunk its teeth into a woman five times narrowly missing her face as she walked along a country lane.

She says her thick coat protected her from serious injuries when the animal attacked her Coldharbour Lane, Wye.

Police have launched a probe after the alleged incident unfolded between 10am and 10.10am on Tuesday.

In a bid to address the owner on social media, the woman wrote: “If I didn’t have a thick coat covering my arms, I would be in hospital.

“You have absolutely no control over your dog.

“I’m posting in the hope you take heed and nobody else is harmed.”

A police spokesman says no serious injuries were reported and the dog was described as black and white.

No description of the dog breed was given.
