Two people have been arrested after being spotted with a 'pistol' and a 'shotgun'.

Officers were called to Elwick Road in Ashford at 12.20pm after receiving reports that two people were carrying firearms, which later turned out to be BB guns.

A 27-year-old man received a police caution for the possession of a firearm and a 17-year-old boy has been released under investigation.

Police seized two BB guns following the incident.
