A builder denied killing a woman at a house in Greatstone when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday.

Paul Fender will stand trial at Croydon Crown Court on June 7 because of the pressure of cases at Maidstone. It is expected to last two weeks.

He is alleged to have killed Karren Martin, 28, with a single stab wound in Hardy Street on November 20.

The 43-year-old, of The Parade, Greatstone, was remanded in custody.
