Casualty treated for smoke inhalation after kitchen fire in Little Knoll, Ashford

A person has been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in Ashford.

Crews were called to a two-storey house in Little Knoll just after 4.15pm following reports of a kitchen fire.

They extinguished the blaze, which caused smoke logging throughout the property, using jets and a fan within 45 minutes.

One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation and passed into the care of the ambulance service.

The cause of the incident is not yet known.
