A popular cafe owner whose body was found at an industrial estate near Pluckley last year will be honoured with a plaque at Lashenden Air Warfare Museum at Headcorn Aerodrome.

On Sunday, July 26 a memorial plaque to Andrew Cresswell will be unveiled and a memorial seat will be presented to the museum from Mr Cresswell’s friends at Pivington Mill industrial estate.

Mr Cresswell was one of the country’s leading aviation archaeologists with strong ties and friendships at the museum.

The 51-year-old’s body was found on November 11 last year. He was found to have suffered a blow to the head. Three men arrested in connection with the incident are currently on police bail.
