Witnesses sought after white Range Rover collides with two pedestrians in Vicarage Lane car park, Ashford

Police officers investigating an early morning collision are appealing for witnesses.

It follows an incident at 4am today involving a white Range Rover which collided with two pedestrians in Vicarage Lane car park , Ashford.

Police attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and two men sustained injuries.

One person was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers arrested two men following the incident. One was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, dangerous driving and grievous bodily harm. The second was arrested for failing to provide a specimen when required to do so.

They are both aged in their 30s and are from Greenhithe. They remain in custody at this time.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Lewis Tompsett said: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or witnessed a vehicle of this description driving earlier in the evening.

"We are treating this as an isolated incident."
