A man has been arrested after a woman was assaulted at a property in a residential street.

Police were called to The Limes in Ashford following reports of a disturbance at 9pm last night.

Officers attended the scene and a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault.

A police spokesman said the woman did not require hospital treatment.

The arrested man has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
