Traffic has returned to normal on the M20 after police were called to a vulnerable person on a bridge over the motorway.

The incident happened on a bridge near Junction 10 of the motorway this afternoon.

Delays affected traffic between Junctions 10 and 11 London-bound and Junctions 9 and 10 coastbound while police officers dealt with the incident.

Highways England thanked motorists for their "patience and consideration" following a "successful resolution".
