Two men have been arrested following a police chase on a motorway.

Police received reports a stolen vehicle was travelling on the M20 near Ashford at around 10pm yesterday.

Officers located the vehicle on the motorway near Junction 6 for Blue Bell Hill/Maidstone, however, it is reported to have failed to stop when requested to do so.

Following a police pursuit, the car was brought to a controlled stop in Harrietsham at around 11.10pm.

Two men, a 43-year-old from Ashford and a 26-year-old of no fixed address, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody as enquiries continue.
