DETECTIVES are investigating after the discovery of a body in woodlands close to a Kent motorway.

Police officers who were involved in a search for a missing 19-year-old man from Ashford found the decomposed body off junction 9 of the M20 on Wednesday evening at around 6.30pm.

Enquiries are continuing and a post-mortem is due to be carried out on Friday (July 13).

A police spokesman said the body had not yet been identified.
