Suspect arrested after reports of thefts from Ashford Designer Outlet

An investigation is underway following reports of thefts from a shopping centre.

Police were alerted to the incident involving stores at Ashford Designer Outlet on Sunday (March 23).

Officers arrived at the Kimberley Way site and searched for a vehicle believed to be connected to the looting.

It was later spotted opposite the complex in Norman Road with several alleged stolen items alongside wire cutters and foil-lined bags.

Homemade jackets with additional pockets on the inside, believed to have been used to conceal clothes, were also found.

One man was arrested at the scene and has been bailed while inquiries continue.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing to identify other potential suspects.

This includes a man captured on CCTV who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.
