POLICE are investigating an allegation made by a young woman that she was the victim of a serious sexual assault close to a busy road in Ashford.
The woman, in her 20s, was found last Friday by a police patrol in the Bad Munstereifel Road, Sevington, at about 9.45am. She was taken to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital and said to be distressed, but was later released.
The victim has made an allegation of rape against her attacker, which is now being investigated by police.
Two men were arrested in connection with the alleged incident but have been released on police bail while inquiries are on-going."
