A man was left needing stitches after being hit over the head with a bottle as he was walking along a road in the early hours.
Police were called to Station Road in Ashford town centre between 3.30am and 4am on Monday, April 17.
The victim was walking along the road towards Wellesley Road with a friend when the row broke out with a group of people behind them.
He was hit over the head with a bottle and needed to be given stitches to a cut in his head. The offender is believed to have run off in the direction of Ashford International Station.
He is described being a white man between the age of 18 and 23, 5ft 7in tall, unshaven with dark hair and medium build. He was wearing a dark top, possibly with stripes, and dark blue jeans.
Investigating officer PC Joshua Hammond said: “We have already spoken to a number of witnesses but believe there may be other people who saw the assault and could have important information for our investigation.”
