Swimmers are unable to use pools at a popular leisure centre today due to “unforeseen” technical issue.
Bosses at the Stour Centre in Ashford, which was also forced to close two pools for a week last month, have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The Station Approach complex – which underwent a major £7.5 million refurbishment project in 2021 – has not yet confirmed when the swimming facilities will reopen.
It means all swimming classes today have been cancelled.
“We regret to inform you that all pools at the Stour Centre will be closed tomorrow due to an unforeseen technical issue,” a post on social media said last night.
“Our team is working diligently to resolve the matter.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
“Thank you for your patience.”
The announcement follows a closure last month due to a problem with heating inside the facility and warming up the water.
When the pools eventually reopened, visitors were warned that “temperatures may be slightly lower than normal”.
Freedom Leisure, which runs the facility on behalf of Ashford Borough Council, has been contacted for comment.
