Veteran powerlifter Ian Douglas has added another world championship medal to his collection.
Douglas, from Ashford, broke a new record at the Powerlifting Congress World Championships with a 280kg deadlift in the Masters over-60 category.
"I’ve won a few world championships before but it still feels good," said Douglas (pictured).
Fellow Olympians Gym member Callum Cook also walked away with a gold from the Bournemouth event in the J75kg category.
The reigning British champion recorded lifts of 230kg in squat, 165kg in the bench press and 230kg in the dead lift.
A third member, Ben Williams, was competing in the 125kg category and he entered the bench press-only event and lifted a personal best 272.5kg
to take bronze.
