A road has been closed after two cars collided near a busy roundabout.

The accident happened on the A20 Fougeres Way in Ashford just outside The Range at around 1.30pm.

It's understood the entrance to the homeware store has been cordoned off in both directions while all three emergency services are at the scene.

One person has reportedly been injured and paramedics are on the scene.

One lane of the road towards the M20 junction 9 has since reopened.

The road was earlier completely closed as traffic backed up across Drovers Roundabout and up the A28 Simone Weil Avenue near Sainsbury's.

Stagecoach bus services have been delayed as a result.

The bus operator tweeted to say: "Due to an RTC between Drovers Roundabout and the junction for the Range 10X services will be unable to serve The Range.

"Additionally 666 services will need to divert via Canterbury Road/Faversham Road while the road is closed."
