A villager has suffered a second act of political vandalism in one week.
Saltwood may be a quiet little place, but for one woman, who does not wish to be named, it has not been so calm recently.
First, her Liberal Democrats lollipop was ripped down and the word Conservatives scrawled on the pole.
Then, she woke up on polling day yesterday (Thursday) to find an abusive poster of Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg stuck to the pole, and one stuck to her porch.
Her elderly neighbour found the same poster, turning Mr Clegg into a rat, stuck to her bedroom window.
She said: “I was more worried for the old lady who lives across the road. They actually stuck one to her bedroom window and when she woke up it would have been the first thing she saw.
“One was put on my lollipop and another one was stuck onto my porch. The Lib Dem who lives over the road had pulled it off the window and threw it on the floor.
“But when I came out it was the first thing I saw just looking up at me and I burst into tears.
“It’s not yobs, whoever's responsible has access to a computer and a colour photocopier.”
Shepway Conservatives have condemned the actions and have denied having anything to do with them.
