A community cricket club is appealing for help to find items stolen from its ground.
Kennington Cricket Club in Ulley Road, Ashford , suffered a break-in over the weekend, with items including a ride-on mower and power tools stolen.
Police were called to the grounds at 4pm yesterday, where they found an outbuilding's door on the ground.
A police spokesman said: "It was reported that a garage in Ulley Road, Kennington had been broken into.
"A ride-on mower, power tools and other equipment are reported to have been stolen between 2.30pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.
"Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, or who has since seen the stolen equipment, is asked to call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/191664/20.
"You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or complete the online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org"
The club itself posted an appeal on social media , saying: "Unfortunately last night somebody broke into the cricket club and stole all of the equipment that we use for ground preparation.
"We are asking for everyone to keep an eye on social media for items being sold or anything that looks suspicious.
"Please could you share this post far and wide and contact us if you see anything."
