Motorists suffered long delays after a lorry crashed into a ditch.

The vehicle was said to have got stuck in a ditch along Cripple Hill, High Halden as it was pulling out of a building site - blocking the road in both directions.

Police had had to shut the road to allow emergency services to access the scene.

A police spokesman said: "We are currently at the scene of a traffic incident in High Halden.

"No injuries have been reported but the road has been closed."
