A police car attending an accident at a roundabout in Ashford was hit in a second crash at the scene.

Police were alerted to the smash between two cars on the Drovers Roundabout just before 1.30pm.

One of the drivers had minor injuries but did not need an ambulance.

But as one of the cars involved in the original incident was leaving the scene just after 2pm, it hit a stationary police car which had been attending the first crash only half an hour before.

Minor damage was caused to both vehicles.

All lanes are now clear.
