A 26-year-old woman has died after a rush-hour crash with a car near Ashford today.
The smash with a red Ford Galaxy happened on the A20 close to Mersham at about 7.35am.
It blocked the road at the junction with The Street and has been causing congestion.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The female car driver was not injured.
Police closed the road until 1pm, while they carried out their investigation.
Two ambulances, two paramedic cars and a vehicle belonging to the air ambulance team rushed to the crash site.
Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "Sadly, they were unable to save the life of the cyclist, who died at the scene."
